The Pasadena Independent School District is no longer employing a substitute teacher's aide who used a copy machine to make inappropriate copies Thursday afternoon.

Jose Gonzalez, 21, of the 1000 block of Richey Street, received a citation after he was seen by a female employee partially disrobed in the copy room at Golden Acres Elementary School.

The witness told district police that Gonzalez appeared to have his pants down, according to Troy Harrison, PISD assistant police chief.

"(Gonzalez) was making copies of his buttocks for his own personal reasons," Harrison said.

While the area was not freely accessible to children, the incident occurred at 1:45 p.m. while school was in session, Harrison said.

There were not students in the area at the time, according to Kirk Lewis, PISD spokesman.

Gonzalez had been a substitute teacher's aid for the district since January 2002, Lewis said.

Lewis referred to the man as using "poor judgement" and said that it was "grossly inappropriate."

Since Gonzalez was a part-time substitute worker, he was not fired according to Lewis, who said Gonzalez has been removed from the district's substitute call list.

Gonzalez was issued a citation by district police for disorderly conduct on Friday at his house, Harrison said.
